How do I qualify for Championship Meets?
CHS Track and Field has 4 championship meets per season, 3 of which are qualifying meets to participate in the next meet:
- DeKalb County Championship
- Region Championship (Qualifiers move to Sectionals)
- Sectionals (Qualifiers move to State)
- GHSA 5A State Championship.
DeKalb County Championship
The DeKalb County Championship is not a qualifying meet, meaning, this meet does not qualify an athlete for Region, Sectionals, or the State meet.
The DeKalb County Championship meet competes against all DeKalb County track and field teams, allowing bragging rights for the best DeKalb county track team. It is a great way to acknowledge the superb talent within the DeKalb area.
